Desperate Housewives (Military Edition)

If you think living in a small town is bad, imagine living on an Army post. Everyone is in everyone else's business faster than you can say, "Guess what I heard?" It really is like watching Desperate Housewives--right down to the crime, nosy neighbors, and adulterous wives.

So far the MPs have been called for loud disturbances, parties that have gotten too big and out of control, I saw one guy being led out in cuffs because he beat his wife, I had CID knocking on my door because they were investigating a rape, the lady next door doesn't take care of her kids, another lady got caught bringing her "boyfriend" to the house, and what happened a few days ago is just the latest in the saga.

So Jason is outside and sees a bunch of MPs parked a couple houses down. Here's what happened: A soldier got kicked out of the Army so he and his family had to clear housing. I guess he didn't like that very much so he broke into the house and proceeded to redecorate with a sledgehammer. So now instead of leaving today like they were supposed to, they now have to stay in Alaska so he can face charges.

Now I enjoy watching drama on TV but when it happens in my neighborhood, it's not a show that I want to watch. I've got my own drama to deal with.
