A couple posts back I mentioned I brought home a dog that I had found. Well I'm happy to report that after a week I had found the dog's owners and she is back home where she belongs!
Here's the whole story: The dog's (whose name is Izzy) owners went on vacation and left her with some friends. Izzy got loose and that's when I found her. After a chance meeting at a grocery store, Izzy's owner found out that a parent from EE Miller took a dog home but wasn't sure if it was hers. They put up some posters and one of the teachers called me because she remembered the dog and knew I was the one that took her. I got the number of the owner and called them up, telling them I might have their dog. After a brief description we met up and sure enough, it was their dog!
I explained to Jorden when we got Izzy that it was not our dog and we needed to find her real home. So when we gave the dog back she took it rather well. Chase, on the other hand, was so heartbroken!! The entire ride home he sobbed and asked for the doggy. It took him most of the day to get over the trauma. And as much as I thought she was cute, I'm glad she's gone. She followed me from room to room (which I found highly annoying) and every time Jason got near her, she would get scared and pee. I think when we come back from vacation we may go and get a dog of our own. Jason has his heart set on getting a big dog and naming it "Gunther". Go figure.
