Today marks the beginning of the end of our term here at Ft. Bragg. Today is a day full of lasts.
First of all, Jason finally received his final orders for Alaska today! So now we can start making moving arrangements. It makes you realize that wow, this is really happening!
Today is Jason's last day of work at the Smoke Bomb Hill Dining Facility. Tomorrow he will start clearing and making travel arrangements. We don't know for sure what day we will be leaving North Carolina but it will be sometime around Dec. 20 or 21.
I made our last mortgage and utility payment today. The mortgage would be more special if it was our last payment to pay off the house but it still means something to us nonetheless.
The next few weeks will be incredibly busy. I need to gather all medical records, make arrangements to ship the truck, sort our belongings for storage, make repairs to the house, withdraw Jorden from school, gather all important documents, finish filling out paperwork, close on the house, get rid of some things, and somewhere in there find time to eat and sleep.

my hubby picks up his clearing papers this week...he just finished his CoC inventories, and the CoC is scheduled for next Tuesday afternoon. Our pre-move inspection is Friday, and movers come on the 15th. We've already booked accommodations on the way to P'bgh, and we have to book a hotel in SC for the house-hunting trip. The whole move thing set in yesterday when I packed up my scrapping area. I do that myself because I don't want them messing anything up. Sigh.....17 days....
