Yesterday we had a day that is so rare. The temperature climbed into the mid 70s with sunny, clear skies. It was so beautiful outside that I almost didn't want to go to church. I just wanted to run outside and take full advantage. But I did go so I could thank God for the amazing weather.
We spent a good portion of the day outside. I cleaned out Jason's truck so it will be nice and tidy for when he comes home. The last time that thing was clean was when it was driven off the lot. The kids played outside and got nice and dirty. The also drew some lovely pictures in the driveway with sidewalk chalk. I had a study guide to work on but it would've been almost sinful to not go outside and enjoy the sun. No matter how crappy a mood I was in, I just couldn't stay inside and mope. Now I understand why Alaskans are so big on their outdoor activities. The beautiful weather doesn't happen too often so people take full advantage when it does.
I did discover something about Jorden yesterday. To her, Jo-Ann Fabrics is like her little utopia. Craft stuff as far as the eye can see. Scrapbooking supplies, stickers, suncatchers, paint, glue... you name it, she wanted it. I only needed to get two small bottles of fabric paint but ended up spending over $40 in supplies for Jorden to put in her craft box. Hey, I don't call her the "Creative Wonder" for nothing!
