Weeds

Meaning #1: My yard is full of them. Especially dandelions. Don't get me wrong, I love that the snow is gone and the yard is a lovely shade of green. And I don't mind seeing a dandelion here or there. But my backyard especially is overrun. Every time Chase goes outside he picks me an entire bouquet of them. It's super sweet but I can sure do without seeing them on my kitchen counter every day. Some weed killer available at the self-help store would do the trick but then I'd feel bad about denying Chase his joy of picking flowers for Mommy.

Meaning #2: My kids are growing like them. Jorden has grown out of jeans that were bought at the beginning of the school year. She's almost out of the pants that I just bought her at Easter. Chase's feet literally grew a half a size overnight. That's no exaggeration. One day he's a 7, next day he's a 7 1/2. Maybe my kids won't be doomed to short height when they get older.
