...the kids act really sweet and cute and you remember why you love them so much. See, the kids gave me a tough time today so I really needed to remember that I love them before I threw them out the window.
Tonight I went to my first "care group" with my new church and naturally I had to bring the kids with me. While we were having our Bible study, the kids were downstairs playing with the drum set and just having a ball. Our hosts (I can't remember their names!) have two older boys so they were supervising all the goings on. Jorden was being her social, sweet self with everyone and Chase was just being a cute, inquisitive little man. At the end, when we were having our group prayer, I hear Chase, down in the TV room, singing along to Spongebob. I couldn't help but laugh. When I was leaving, I had a few people tell me just how sweet and adorable my kids are. And our hosts' sons (who are both teenagers) told me they had a blast with the kids. And that's not something you hear from a teenager who got sorta-kinda got roped into babysitting.
