Next Month.....

.....Jason will be home and I will no longer feel the need to strangle my children.

Okay I know that sounds really bad. But seriously, 90% of my time this past year has not been spent on schoolwork (although based on my grades it really should have), it has been spent on keeping the kids busy and away from each other.

I used to love those days when I could stay at home and do nothing. Not anymore. Now doing nothing means that I am doing something..... And that something means keeping my children away from each other. So that means playing in their own rooms, with their own toys, and even on opposite ends of the couch. There are no "family game nights", "family Wii tournaments", or any of that happy fun stuff because it always ends with fighting, bickering, someone getting hurt, sore winning, or sore losing. This is why I try to make sure we are out of the house for at least an hour a day. No shopping to do? Then I make up a reason to leave the house!! A bored child is a child looking for trouble which makes for an unhappy mommy. And no one wants that.

My prayer for this month is that the Lord will make the next month productive, fruitful, and somewhat busy enough that my kids forget that they cannot get along on their own.
