I'm gonna catch a lotta flack for this, especially if people from Pennsylvania see it. But I don't care because it needs to be said.
I live in Alaska. I've had two feet of snow in my backyard since November. I have a 8ft heap of snow on both sides of my driveway from shoveling the stuff. Whatever isn't covered in snow is covered in ice. The temperature does not get above the teens and that's the HIGH. It's mandatory for my children to go to school wearing full snow gear (boots, snowpants, heavy coat, etc.) The school district requires children to go outside in temperatures up to -10 degrees and can only stay inside if there's a reason that's documented from a physician. There are no such things as two hour delays or closures. Sliding through stop signs and red lights in my vehicle is an everyday occurence.
The next time you start to complain about driving in the snow, shoveling your driveway, school schedules being disrupted, or about how effing cold it is, remember that next month (or even next week for that matter) it will all be a distant memory. I'll be dealing with this crap until April or May. I guarantee you that after having lived here, I will never, ever complain about winter weather again. Come on people.... QUIT YOUR BITCHIN!! You really have no reason to complain.

My sentiments exactly! :)
Amen, sister. Well played.
Oh...and I'll bet that those who complain usually have CHOICE about where they want to live. If they don't like it, move someplace where they won't have to deal with it.
