The Good: Chase had a WIC appointment today. He grew almost an inch and put on two pounds in 3 months. Most people would think this is not a big deal but doctors love it when my kids put on weight because they have never been above the 5th percentile in weight their whole lives.
The Bad: It did nothing but pour down rain today. While in the hurry to get Chase and myself to the car in the downpour, all my new WIC checks fell out of my pocket but Jason did manage to find them in the parking lot, soaking wet. Chase couldn't make it to the school and wet himself on the way to get Jorden. His car seat needed to be taken apart and washed. It started raining harder while we were in the school and we got even more wet while running back to the car. He also had another accident while playing in Jorden's room.
The Ugly: I found some kind of animal fetus in my yard when we got home. I thought it was dead. When Jason got home a few hours later, I showed it to him and it was still moving! Jason scooped it up in some washcloths to keep it warm and drove to animal urgent care. As it turns out, it was a newborn squirrel. The vet is going to give it to a wildlife rescue place to be cared for. I feel horrible because I really thought it was dead and I just left it outside in the cold and rain.
Chase also took it upon himself to decorate Jorden's room with markers. Not what we need when we're trying to sell the house.
I just want to go to bed.
