I've had a really frustrating day today.
I had been wearing the same pair of disposable contacts for quite awhile now. I did this because with us being in transition, I knew it would be awhile before I was able to get more. I did, however, have one extra pair left and that was to be my final pair until I got to see the eye doctor. So today after having a lot of discomfort, I decided it was time to break out my last pair. I threw the old ones away, went to put in the new one, and discovered that my left lens has disintegrated in the package. Then I realized I was really screwed because my old ones were already in the trash and I didn't know which one went in which eye. And since I have to wear sunglasses while driving, I have to wear my old glasses because they have the clip-on sunglasses as opposed to my current glasses which don't. Grrr....
My goal today was to purchase two new boxes of lenses. I kept the labels to my current ones that had the prescription on it. Unfortunately I was not able to simply purchase two new boxes because by law, any place that sells contacts has to be able to verify the prescription with a doctor. And I did not have that information. So it looks like I'll be wearing my crap glasses until I get in to have an eye exam. Grrrr....
Chase was taking a bath and neither Jason nor I thought to remove the shampoo and various soaps from the edge of the tub. Chase got into my super-expensive facial cleanser and not only dumped most of it from the bottle but whatever is left in it is now watered down. Now without this stuff (it's a 3 part cleansing system) my face will erupt like a 14 year old's. Thank you mom for giving me your oily skin. Grrrr....

Hey Barbara, Ky broke my one pair of glasses. I am now going to get LASIK done. It's an investment in the long run. I feel for ya!!
Barbara - in case you don't like your glasses much, and want really CHEAP ones, check out Zenni Optical (zennioptical.com, I believe). Glasses start at $8, they don't need your doctor's verification, and you can get "tinting" for cheap too, so you can have sunglasses without clipon, etc. I bought 2 pair for $24.95 (included shipping, which is $4.95, flat rate) They don't have contacts, though...sorry.
I don't mind wearing glasses. I just hate wearing my old ones because my current ones offer no protection from the glare of the sun. And after witnessing what Jason went through with Lasik, I'm VERY hesitant to have that done.
Anytime you want to ship Chase to us, we would be happy to have him!!!
Love you guys and hope all is well!
