I'm sure most of you know that I am a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. When you grow up breathing the steel mill air, two things get encoded in your DNA: 1. You must drink Iron City beer and use Heinz ketchup, 2. You are a Steelers fan. Whenever I get cut, I bleed black and gold. My children have learned since the time they could talk what team to root for. You can wear a Steelers jersey to church in Pittsburgh and people wouldn't look at you funny. My cousin owns a chain of grocery stores in the Pittsburgh area. He closed them all at 7pm. A restaurant chain closed today at 3pm. The city shuts down for the Steelers because we love em so much.
Tonight I just watched my team become the first team in NFL history to win 6 championships. Needless to say, I was highly emotional. I sat on the floor, weeping into my Terrible Towel, wishing I was back in the Burgh. I would have given anything to be down on Carson Street screaming and celebrating with the rest of the city. But alas, I was here watching my team make history. And I couldn't be happier.

Hey lady! Congrats! Jamie is a huge Kurt Warner fan.....and (don't disown me) ;-) we were hoping for his team to win. Warner is en extremely strong Christian and a man of integrity. I am sure though that there are many Christians on the Pittsburgh team as well. =)I knew you'd be happy though which I am glad!! Congrats!!
Yeah, Baby! One for the OTHER thumb! Sixburgh, indeed...can't even begin to imagine it!
