My favorite show of all time is e.r. I've watched it since the beginning and there's nothing about that show I don't know. I even watch the reruns everyday on TNT. It's just a darn good show.
I've seen all the episodes a dozen times. So why is it that every time I see the episode "On The Beach" I sob uncontrollably? For those that don't know, it's the one where Dr. Mark Greene dies. Seriously, I know what's going to happen at the end but still, when it gets to the part where he's listening to "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and then cuts to the funeral scene, I always lose it. I don't know why. There's just something about it. Now I admit that I can get a bit teary-eyed during sad scenes but for me to just start crying like I actually knew the person is just, well, weird.
If you haven't seen it before, you can probably find it on YouTube. I guarantee that you'll get a little weepy-eyed too.

ER has always been my favorite too...I hate that it's ending.
Like you, that episode gets me every time. I think it's the IDEA of death, not necessarily Dr, Green's, but in GENERAL, that gets tears working for me....
