Overload

I have never, never, never in my entire college life had professors that piled on the work like these two have. I have two professors that think their class is the only thing we have going on so we have all the time in the world to do the work. Really, if you look at my syllabus, I think you would agree that that it is incredibly ridiculous and these teachers have way to high expectations. Here's what's in store for this week:

Ancient Civilizations: Read two chapters (both about 50 pages long) and take a quiz (50 questions) on the first 4 chapters. Read Homer's Illiad, write a 750 word essay about it, and comment on another student's work. All done by Sunday

Psychology of Human Nature: Watch two lectures, read 150 pages of Socrates, and comment on discussion board questions. All due by Sunday. Also, get started on a "mini-paper" (1,000 or more) that's due by the end of week 3.

Let's not forget about all the other things I have to do around here. It doesn't even really matter about that because like I said, these idiots think we have all the time in the world. I know you do have to cram a standard class into only 8 weeks but this is beyond ridiculous. I don't know how much more I can take.

And before anyone brings up Jason helping out, that's just not going to happen. That means having to put down his PS2 controller or stepping away from the computer. In fact, yesterday he overexaggerated a heart attack. Yes, he actually FAKED a heart attack. Went to the emergency room and everything. And his symptoms magically appeared when it came time to get the kids ready for bed and I was up to my eyeballs in the Ancient Greeks. So because I knew he was full of crap, I told him he either had to drive himself or find someone to take him. So I was up all night because of his mysterious ailment.

So you see, I'm all on my own on this. Can I quit now?
