My new classes started today and I'm already going to lose my mind. I had a feeling that when I signed up for them that there would be a lot of work but this is just insane. My Ancient Civilizations class requires a ton of reading (20-30 pages a week) and a discussion board essay that has to be at least 750 words done every week. My Philosophy of Human Nature class requires a ton of reading (20-30 pages a week) and several discussion board questions (no required length) but some are due as early as the Tuesday of that week.
Thankfully, the kids played VERY nicely today and I was able to get most of everything done for my philosophy class. I have one more thing to do and I'll do that tomorrow morning. Then I can spend the rest of the week reading and writing for my civilization class. And I'm not stopping, either. Once it's done, I'm actually going to work ahead because losing just one day of work will put me in danger of not finishing the week's work for both classes.
I'm sooooooo glad that after this session I'll be stopping for a few months while we get ready to move. I'm really going to need the break!

Good luck! I don't start up again until the end of October. I so wish I could start sooner because I'll only get 2 classes in before I have to take more time off for having a baby. Again. No regrets at all, it just seems like it's going to take me forever to finish. Good for you on working ahead...it's a good feeling! You'll so deserve your break when it comes.
