The Last Belt

Jason and I were wondering if we should even let Jorden test for her new belt because unfortunatly she will not be able to continue with jujitsu when we leave Fayetteville. There are no Atemi-Ryu Jujitsu schools in Anchorage so if she does keep up with martial arts, she will have to start from the bottom. In the end, we decided that this was something that she worked hard for and we didn't want to take away. So here it is: The last belt--first yellow. Had she been able to continue, the next rank would have been third orange.

I think it's good that you let her test...because she earned the belt. Whether she can take that exact style of martial arts or not, she knows she had the skills to pass this one; it's an achievement no one can take from her. Besides, with the knowledge and experience she's gained here, she'll move quickly through the ranks of another style if you find one for her.

congrats to Jorden!
