Nappy Naptime

I'm so tired. Well, in so many ways I'm tired but in one way in particular. I am just physically exhausted more than usual. And it's really getting on my nerves.

I'm naturally a night owl. Always was, even as a baby. My mom would tell me stories of how as a baby and toddler, I never slept at night but adored my nap during the day. Even now I can stay up until 3 or 4 in the morning and not be phased by it (although I'm a mess if I have to get up early). Seriously, a night job would be perfect for me.

Now that school is in session I've been trying really hard to get to bed early (which for me would be before 1am). And I'd like to think that I've been doing a good job of it. But even still, I get up at 7:45am and get Jorden ready for school and as soon as she leaves, I crash on the couch for another couple hours because I'm a walking zombie no matter how much coffee I've had.

I really would like to stay awake. I have workouts to do and sometimes errands to run. And as much as I still LOVE naps, those hours spent snoozing really set my day back. And I really need to get my act together because my classes start next week. I'm really hoping this exhaustion is just due to the fact that our schedules have changed and I'm just not used to it yet. Last time I was this tired I was pregnant (which I am NOT, REPEAT, NOT!!!) and/or I was sick, which I haven't seen an oncologist in quite some time.

With Jason gone and me doing everything, I'm always going to be tired but I just want a day where I don't depend on coffee or a nap to get going. I want to own my days again, rather than my days owning me.
