It's that time of year when it does nothing but rain. Rain, rain, rain. When we do get the occasional sunny day, it's still too muddy for the kids to go outside. We've played games, watched movies (we really liked Arthur and the Incredibles), painted, played video games, read books, etc. The kids have also wreaked havoc throughout the house, resulting in dozens of timeouts and Jorden earning a "confinement day" (a day in her room where she can only come out to eat and go to the bathroom). Normally when we get this bored we hop in the car and go somewhere. But Jorden will be heading back to school on Monday. So with me having to pay close to $60 a week for gas, our budget is back to being uber-tight. That means no uneccessary trips and no extracurricular spending. So for now we're just going to have to wait for the rain to stop, the sky to clear, and the ground to dry. Hopefully by then we haven't gone insane!
